Sorry for the delay in posting.....we have had a couple of full days!! So far we have visited Disney's Animal Kingdom and Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure. Both days the weather has been fabulous and the crowds minimal. Those factors make for awesome days in theme parks. I know what you really want to see are pictures so we will just get on with it....
The picture I have always dreamed of taking: my husband walking hand in hand with our child at a Disney park
Daddy and Avery making their way to the African safari
Our family in front of the Tree of Life
Avery's first Disney ride: TricerTop Spin.
The whole gang getting ready to watch the Festival of the Lion King show. Avery was fascinated by all the performers
Having a snack break and enjoying a mickey ice cream
We all watched the 3D show It's Tough to be a Bug and wore our special 3D glasses
We had our first character experiences at Animal Kingdom and let's just say it didn't exactly go as I had imagined it in my dreams. Avery was fine admiring the characters from afar but when they attempted to touch her or got too close there were major freak outs!! Hey at least we have some cute pictures to remember it by
For some reason Avery does not appear to be having a fabulous time anymore!!
What a great way to end the day: a ride on mommy's shoulders!!
Yesterday was Islands of Adventure Day:
Paul and I rode the Incredible Hulk coaster and then Paul dared his dad to get on too. Cliff and Paul rode it and I am sure Cliff will not soon forget it!!
The sign says it all....and the answer is YES!!!!
We soon figured out the best way to get pictures of Avery with the characters: gently back up with her and have the character just stand behind us.
Mommy and Avery and the Cat in the Hat!!
Riding the carousel with Daddy!
She loved the One Fish, Two Fish ride!
Who knew we were going to get soaking wet on this kiddie ride??
Napping after an exhausting day!!
So that's what gone on so far, we are about to leave to go to Epcot so I am sure we will have tons of pictures from that, after all I have only taken 450 so far!!!!
Happy Monday!!!

Looks like you are having a blast! I'm headed to Disney tomorrow to meet up with some family. It so much more fun when you have a child to experience it with!
I miss my baby !!!
But glad she is having fun.
Grandma Martha
Glad you're having fun! We're going to Disney in November.
We took Dylan to Disney when he was 2.5 and he had the same reaction to the characters - fine from afar, but up close kind of scary! In Robin Williams words, its a 6 foot rat! :)
