Our family suffered a huge loss yesterday when Grandpa Horn passed away unexpectedly. I think we are all still in a state of shock at his passing. Thankfully we have a ton of wonderful memories to hold on to. I could write a huge post about grandpa and all his wonderful qualities but to be honest at this time I am just physically, emotionally, and mentally exhausted. It has been a very long two days and we still have a couple more ahead. Please remember our family in your prayers and know that even though we are mourning we are also celebrating his entry to heaven and reunion with his beloved wife.This picture of him mid-laugh is an awesome example of his wonderful personality!!

You always made it clear to everyone how much you loved your Grandpa. The picture of him laughing will remain a favorite of mine, and we can treasure the fact that you got it on camera. I am so grateful for the strength you have shown these past two days, and all you have done to help us, including taking my ill sister Patti to buy a dress yesterday, burning music and pictures on CDs for the services, and for being there anytime I ask and more. Your Grandpa is now in heaven watching over Avery for us until we can go get her.

I just wanted you to know how much I love and appreciate you. Your wonderful smiles shining out through your tears has helped me so much in dealing with this loss.
