YEAH!!! Robyn, I was thinking that I should share a word of advice with you - when I pack my kids suitcases I pack each outfit in large ziplock bags. This helps them in dressing and not having to think about what goes with what. I kinda did the same thing for Bryan and I last year when we went to China. I was so glad that I did - on our flight from Beijing to Nanjing, someone's cheap alcohol broke in their suitcase and our suitcase and contents were soaked too. The clothing and such that were in ziplock bags were fine. All of Jailyn's toys, clothes... were unharmed!
Just a word of advice! Plus, you never know when you need a plastic bag! :)
congrats!
Kelley was my packing guardian angel. She let me call her at least 5 times that day I was really doing the packing. Have fun!!!
We are so excited for you and can't wait to see Avery in person.
BIG HUGS-
Love,
Beth and Grace
How unbelievably exciting!!! I will be praying for you for your long flight over there. Have fun killing time in Beijing - but I know you'll be so anxious to get to her city. We are thrilled for you guys and I'll pray for God to take all your anxiety away. Congratulations!
Yeah! I will see you in Beijing.
Whoohoo! I thought that you told me that you were packed last week...HA! Call anytime!
Love you!
K.
p.s. Great advice from Jodi...I always pack in ziploc bags or packmates.
Congratulations and Good Luck!!!
I wish I could give you packing advice - but I'm gonna need my own in about two months. Lord help me too because Sista #5 is a heavy packer...and I'm not talking about my pant size girl! (Ha! I just snorted!)
Yes, yes, yes on the plastic baggies or Packmates. They were a lifesaver when we went to China for Mollianne. All of our clothes were packed in Packmates and not only did they save us TONS of space, but they protected everything and kept them relatively wrinkle free.
Girl, I can't believe you are leaving for China in less than a week! How freakin' exciting!!!!!
Love you!
P.S. If you can't get ahold of Kelley, you can always call me for packing advice. Even though she is "the guru." :-)
We are a GWCA family with a LID of 2/06. I am just wondering about the airfare. I see that your travel happened pretty quickly. Just wondering if you purchased your tickets through Delight Travel? Were your tickets reasonably priced?? Do you have a choice about purchasing your tickets yourself? Just curious about this. If you don't mind, wondering if you could do a blog post on the details of the travel. Thanks so much! ~ Lisa
